Whether due to an error in booking or a change in availability, sometimes appointments need to be updated.
Updating an Appointment
To update an appointment please follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Appointment Details page
- This can be done several ways including,
- Clicking on the appointment on the Calendar page
- Clicking the link on the Appointments page
- Clicking on the appointment within a client's profile
- Within the Appointment Information portion on the left of the screen click on Edit
- An Edit Appointment window will appear where you can update the primary provider, or healthcare service
- After making any appropriate updates click Edit Appointment to save the changes or Close to close the window without saving
- If you do not want the participants to receive a change notification, uncheck Send update notification to participants
Rescheduling an Appointment
There are two ways to reschedule an appointment, from the Appointment Details page and from the Calendar directly.
Rescheduling from Appointment Details
To reschedule from the Appointment Details page please follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Appointment Details page
- This can be done several ways including,
- Clicking on the appointment on the Calendar page
- Clicking the link on the Appointments page
- Clicking on the appointment within a client's profile
- Within the Appointment Information portion on the left of the screen click on Reschedule
- This will open a new window where you can make any appropriate changes
- If applicable, change the Participants of the appointment.
- If applicable, remove participants by selecting the red “x” next to the name
- Confirm the date and time of the appointment.
- Time can also be adjusted from the Calendar view on the right.
- If applicable, change the Location of the appointment.
- If applicable, change the Healthcare Service of the appointment.
- If applicable, change the Reason for visit of the appointment.
- Click “Reschedule Appointment” to save the changes.
Rescheduling from the Calendar
To reschedule from the Calendar please follow these steps.
- Navigate to the Calendar by clicking on the Calendar icon from the left hand navigation bar
- To reschedule the appointment you can either
- Drag and drop an appointment to a new time
- Click and drag from the bottom to extend the appointment's length
- This will open a new window where you can make any appropriate changes
- If applicable, change the Participants of the appointment.
- If applicable, remove participants by selecting the red “x” next to the name
- Confirm the date and time of the appointment (this will be prefilled based on where it was dragged to).
- Time can also be adjusted from the Calendar view on the right.
- If applicable, change the Location of the appointment.
- If applicable, change the Healthcare Service of the appointment.
- If applicable, change the Reason for visit of the appointment.
- Click “Reschedule Appointment” to save the changes.
