For the best Video Conferencing best experience, please run through this checklist depending on your role.
Provider / Administrator Checklist
Before your appointment |
Tips

Check your camera
|
Desktop:
Windows: Use the "Camera" app
MacOS: Use the "FaceTime" or "Photo Booth" app
Newer versions of Adracare:
1. Click the username at the top-right side of the page > “Settings”
2. Under the Connectivity Check section, click “Check Connection” to start the test
Mobile:
Android and Apple: Use the "Camera" App

Check your microphone
|
Desktop:
Click the Play button in the black box and start speaking and you should see soundwaves in the box (you may need to give permission for the site to use your microphone). If you don't see any sound waves there may be an issue with your microphone
Newer versions of Adracare:
1. Click the username at the top-right side of the page > “Settings”
2. Under the Connectivity Check section, click “Check Connection” to start the test
Mobile:
See if you can record a voice memo.

Check your audio
|
Find a video on YouTube and see if you can hear the sound from your device and/or your headphones.
Newer versions of Adracare:

2. Under the Connectivity Check section, click “Check Connection” to start the test

See if your device is compatible with Video Conferencing here.

Check your browser
|
Desktop / Laptop:
Windows: Use Chrome or Firefox (Chrome is preferred)
MacOS: Use Chrome or Firefox (Chrome is preferred)
Note:
Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not supported browsers. Please make sure if you click the link from your email software, it opens in Chrome or Firefox.
Mobile:
Android: Use Chrome or Firefox
Apple: Use Safari

Check your browser version
|
Check if your browser is updated to the most recent version.
Desktop:
Mobile:
Android: Check your Google Play Store
Apple: Check the App Store

Cannot click the "Join Session: button on the appointment
|
The link will be enabled by set time (default: 15 minutes) before the start of the appointment. |

Check your browser permissions
|
Allow camera and microphone permissions on the browser by clicking "Preview Your Camera" when in the virtual waiting room (after clicking the "Join Session" button).

If the appointment link is expired |
Create a new appointment and ask the patient to join the new appointment
|
If using your mobile device, connect to Wi-Fi
|
Check that you are connected to Wi-Fi to ensure you have a stable internet connection.
