How to Send a Secure Message
- Login to the platform
- Open Secure Messages from the left navigation bar
- Click on New Message
- Enter the email of the client (or other provider
- Add a subject line
- Type in the content of your message
- Documents can be added by clicking Add Attachment
- Click Send Mail when done
Note:
- Your client will receive an email notification that you've sent them a secure message.
- In order for your client to view the secure message
- Client portal needs to enabled on your organization (Included in the Powerhouse plan)
- They will need to have activated their portal
How to View Messages
- Login to the platform
- Open Secure Messages from the left navigation bar
- By default Active messages are shown
- To switch to Inactive messages click on Inactive on the left hand side to change folders
- To switch to Inactive messages click on Inactive on the left hand side to change folders
- Click on a message to open it
How to Respond to Messages
- Login to the platform
- Open Secure Messages from the left navigation bar
- By default Active messages are shown
- To switch to Inactive messages click on Inactive on the left hand side to change folders
- To switch to Inactive messages click on Inactive on the left hand side to change folders
- Click on a message to open it
- Click Reply
- Type in the response you would like to include
- Click Send Mail
- A green Secure Message Send message will appear in the upper right if the message is sent successfully
How to Close a Conversation
- Login to the platform
- Open Secure Messages from the left navigation bar
- Click on the conversation you would like to close
- Click End Conversation
- Click Confirm in the pop up window that appears
Closed conversations will be moved to the Inactive folder and cannot be reopened. If you would like to allow client's to reopen closed conversations, it can be enabled within Settings->Organization Settings->Client Portal with the Allow patients to reopen inactive secure messages field.
