You have the ability to allow clients to complete the intake flow and book their first appointment at the same time. Once booked, the client will:
- Have a profile created
- Have their intake information in an easy to reference intake accessible from their profile and intakes
- Have an appointment booked on your calendar
Configuring this requires you to take the same steps you would to enable both online booking and intakes, with the added step of enabling it from within the intakes configuration page.
Step 1: Setup Locations for Online Booking
By default, there will be a location named 'Virtual' that setup to accept online bookings for virtual sessions. You can also add other online and offline locations for your clinics.
In order to enable online booking for a location, please take these steps:
- Navigate to Settings -> Locations
- Click on the location name to open it
- Click Edit in the details section
- Check Online box to enable online booking for the location
Additional Notes
- When updating the Location, please scroll to the bottom of the page and ensure the relevant providers are added to the 'Provider List'.
- If a location is added to an availability that the provider is not linked to, online booking will not work correctly.
Step 2: Setup Healthcare Services for Online Booking
By default, there are several services that are enabled for online booking. You can edit or create healthcare service types in the platform as well.
Default service options:
- Counselling 30
- Counselling 60
- Counselling 90
- Counselling
- Assessment 5
- Assessment 10
- Assessment 15
- Assessment
- General Practice
To enable a new healthcare service for online booking, please take these steps:
- Navigate to Settings -> Service Templates
- Click on the healthcare service name to open it
- Check Enable for Online Booking to enable the service for online booking
- Click Update Service

Unlike the direct booking flow, clients will always be able to select a provider regardless of the Allow Client to Select a Provider flag on the service.
Step 3: Setup Provider Availabilities
Both provider's and provider-admins can create an availability directly from the calendar. Provider-admin's also have the ability to review and create availabilities for providers from Settings->Template Manager.
When creating an availability please ensure that the healthcare service type and location you are selecting are also enabled for online booking.
Step 4: Configure Intake
You can configure your intake flow by taking the below steps:
- Navigate to Settings -> Online Intake Configuration
- Click the gear icon to the right of the page title
- Toggle fields on/off by clicking the toggle to the left of the field name

Some fields are required by the system and cannot be toggled off
- Mark Mandatory fields by checking the mandatory checkbox
- Click Save to save your changes
After saving your changes for each page a banner notification will appear to tell you that there are unpublished changes.
Click publish in the lower right to set them live.
Step 5: Enable Direct Booking
Enabling direct booking is done by:
- Navigating to Settings -> Online Intake Configuration
- Enabling the Patient Booking flag at the top of the page
