Issues related to a slow or unstable network are the most common issues experienced within any teleconferencing tool. They can also be some of the most difficult to resolve as there are many things that can affect the overall network quality.
What are the signs of a poor connection?
The signs of a poor connection can include:
- Audio that stutters or cuts out
- Pixelated video or video that appears to jump around
How to check my network connection?
If you are suspecting that you may be experiencing a poor network connection, there are two things you can check while in session.
- A network bar will appear beside your name (as well as others) if a poor connection is detected during the call
- Your overall connection quality within the Meeting diagnostics tab
- Click the Call Quality button in the upper right of the screen
- Review the results in the window that appears
- Click the Call Quality button in the upper right of the screen
What can I do to help with a poor connection?
To improve network quality please try the following:

Reduce network usage by pausing downloads or any streaming

Change from a wireless connection through WiFi to a wired connection via an ethernet cord

Change the network you are connected to

Turning off your camera

Disabling all videos from either the Meeting Diagnostics page or from the system tray (this will disable your camera for other users and on your screen other users will appear as though they are turned off)

Navigate to Meeting Diagnostics

Click the Disable videos toggle at the bottom of the screen

From the System Tray

Hover over the cam button

Select the Disable videos toggle

Physically move closer to your router

Close unnecessary applications/tabs
Additionally, you can enable Low Data Mode or Reduce visual effects from your in session settings. To access these settings, please take the following steps:

Click on the gear icon in the upper right

Click on Advanced in the window that appears

Toggle Low Data Mode on (the toggle will appear green)

Toggle Reduce visual effects on (the toggle will appear green)
