Screen sharing is a great way tot share content to other participants in the appointment and is available to both clients and providers.
To ensure the best performance, screen sharing will be limited to 1-5 FPS (frames per second) by default and up to 1080p based on network and CPU restraints. In light of this it is not recommended to share video content.
Please note: Screen sharing on Mobile (both phone and table) devices is currently unavailable
How to Screen Share
To begin sharing your screen take the following steps:
- Click the Share button along the system tray
- Depending on your browser, you will have different options
- For Chrome or other Chromium browsers, you are able to share:
- A specific Chrome tab
- An app window (allows you to share a specific application only)
- An entire screen
- For Firefox, you can share:
- An app window
- An entire screen
- For Safari, you can share:
- An app window
- An entire screen
- For Chrome or other Chromium browsers, you are able to share:
- Once you have selected your option, you can choose the screen/window/tab to share
- Click Share
Sharing with Audio
Sharing your computer's audio is possible while screen sharing and using Chrome or Chromium browsers.
Depending on the sharing option selected and the operating system, a checkbox that says Share Audio will be present that you can check to share audio.
On Windows
- You can share the audio from any Chrome tab
- You can share the audio from the Entire Screen
On macOS
- You can share the audio from any Chrome tab
